T Shirts and garments

There are lots of ways to decorate garments, from photographic images to text for information, such as Fire Officer on Day Glow tabards.

We are able to supply various sorts of graphic applications including :

  • Dye sublimination, I have been using dye sub inks for about 30 years, the early ones needed to be screened, litho printed etc., which for long runs is still a viable proposition but with new technologies, i.e. the computer !!!
  • We are now able to create, import a graphic, and print it. From a single print to a long run.
  • Dye sub works by printing with special ink on a receptive paper, usually by ink jet, then the transfer is applied to garment by heat and pressure, you will have probably seen in a shopping mall people putting transfers onto garments like this, except in this instance the ink vaporises and the resultant image is permanently dyed into the fabric as with any directly printed item.
  • NOT a plasticy transfer.

Dye sublimination only at present works on a polyester blend of garment or coated product and the fabric needs to be white, having said that we are able to print either a flock or ground cover, yes it is plastic, and cad cut to shape, which can be heat adhered to a dark garment.

This enables us to produce in addition to garments : badges, print caps, work wear etc. with some really brilliant results.

Cad cut graphics, we have the facility to create lettering and graphics, mostly single colour, or not, tightish registration, logos etc. for soft cotton e.g. T', to industrial work wear. Great for personalization, your name his name her name and so on.....(we have done loads and loads for Films at Pinewood etc. very popular to have your name down your sleeve on a sweat shirt.)
Nowadays there is a wide variety of cuttable films including glitters, metallic, diffraction, photo luminescent and just plain, (nice) old colours.

We have recently purchased a new pigment ink jet transfer system that allows us to produce, fairly reasonable durable transfers for photographic imaging onto both dark and light coloured garments.

New on the market is "diamanté," a selection of heat applied crystals which give a sparkly effect, these can be patterned into names logos etc. very suitable for the fashion and creative industries.

There is also a huge range of plastisol transfers available on most subjects, and although we do not keep many in stock we are able to produce themed T's e.g. fishing clubs etc.
